About the author

Sofia Due

I was born in London and divide my time between the city and the North Cornish coast. I love the cultural diversity of London. Like most writers, I draw on my own experiences. Apart from anything else, it’s difficult to prevent aspects of your own life creeping into your writing. The things that made it into ‘Ed & Lily’ are memories of my Saturday job in Portobello Road when I was a teenager and the people I knew there, as well as the work I do now with refugees. During the day, I work as an Asylum, Civil Liberties and Human Rights lawyer. As a result, I relate to Lily’s need to make a difference and am happy to be outed as a wannabe do-gooder. I meet a lot of people from very varied backgrounds and hear their, often heart-breaking, stories. Like Lily, I know that the right input at the right time can change people’s lives.

The same themes found their way into 'Finding Jack,' where Gennie and Jack have already experienced all the bad and, with luck, things will only get better!

I hope you enjoy this book. I’d love to hear your views. Do share your opinion and leave your details if you’d like to keep in touch.
